YOUTH LEADERSHIP PROGRAMME
Inspired Learning
At the Hertfordshire Combat Centre, we strive to empower young people to tackle challenges and take on new experiences. We run a leadership programme which equips volunteers between the ages of 14-18 years old with invaluable leadership, teamwork and communication skills.

Sport is a great medium through which teenagers can build relationships and find out more about themselves and others. Participating in our leadership programme is a great stepping stone towards becoming a Level 1 coach in a chosen sport, volunteering behind the scenes at events and competitions, or simply having some great experience to put on UCAS applications or CVs.
WHAT'S INVOLVED
Complete a minimum of 16 hours of volunteering at one (or more) of our weekly after school/evening sessions.
During this hour you will be supporting the coach and centre staff with set up, delivery, helping any participants, role modelling the Combat Centre values, and assisting with any other tasks or issues that crop up during the session.
We're particularly keen to have volunteers between 5:30-7pm on Mondays to referee the Fencing matches in the Hertfordshire Schools League.
Four 1.5hr long workshop sessions covering elements of coaching fundamentals (dates tbc).
Once completed, further opportunities for coaching or refereeing qualifications.
A free T-shirt!
